God is love and His love endure forever. His love is unconditional, for He love us first, even we are a sinner, He send His son and give Him up to die for our sin. For the blood of Yeshua being shed and purchase all the goodness from heaven for us. His glory is complete in fullness. God is good to us all the time, no matter what condition we ran into, God demonstrated his ability to work all thing for good.
Here are some of the goodness God have given us :
1. She give this to all the Lord who spoke to her. “You are the God who see me,” For she said, “I have now see the one who see me.” (Genesis 16:13)
Some time we too have to wait. When we ask God for something and have to wait, It is a temptation to take matters into our own hands and thus interferes with God’s plan. Thats what happened to Sarai, Abram’s wife did exactly as stated above, she gave Hagar, her maid servant to Abram and thinking that they can make a family through her.
We have watched three person makes serious mistake:
- Sarai, who took matters into her own hands and gave her maid servant to Abram.
- Abram, who went along with the plan but, when circumstances began to go wrong, refuse to help solving the problem.
- Hagar, who ran away from the problem.
In spite of these messy situation, God demonstrated His ability to work in all things for good. Sarai and Abram still receive the son that they desperately wanted, and God solved Hagar’s problem despite Abram refusal to get involved. No problem is too complicated for God if you are willing to let Him help you.
2. “You intend to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many life” ( Genesis 50:20 ).
God brought good from the brother’s evil deed. Potiphar’s wife false accusation, the cup-bearer’s neglect and cause seven years of famine. The experience of Joseph’s life for him that God brings good from evi for those who trust Him. Do you trust God enough to wait patiently for Him to bring good out of bad situations? For sure you can trust him because as Joseph learned, god can overrule people’s evil intention to bring about his intended results.
3. When we heard this, Yeshua said,”this sickness will not end in death. No, it is fro Go’s glory so that God’s son may be glorified thorugh it”.
Any trial a believer faces can ultimately bring glory to god because God can bring good out of any bad situation. when trouble comes, do you gamble, complain, and blame god? Or you see your problem as opportunities to honor God.
4. In 1 Samuel 13:9, rather that waiting for priest, Saul offered the sacrifice himself. This way ais against God’s laws (deutoronomy 12:5-14) and against instruction of Samuel. Under pressure from the approaching Philistines, he took into his own hands and disobeyed God. He was doing a good thing (offering the sacrifice to God before a crucial battle), but he did it in a wrong way. Like Saul, our spiritual characters revealed under pressure, thing goes not according to God’s laws and plan. So, importantly, the method we used to accomplish our goals are as important as the attainment of the goals.
Saul has caused much trouble for David but when he died, David composed a lament for Saul and his son Jonathan. David has every reason to hate Saul but he chose not to. Instead, he chose to look at the good Saul has done and ignore the time when Saul attacked him. It takes courage to lay aside hatred and hurt and to respect the positive side of another person, especially an enermy.
5. This Psalm(Psalm 52:1) is written about Doeg. He thought he was a great hero-even boasting about his deed. In reality his deed of evil has offense to God. He betrayed Abimelech and David and then killed God’s priests. It is easy to mistake acoomplishment with goodness. Just because something is done well or thoroughly does not mean it is good (Like a great gambler and a great liar). Measure all you do by the rule of God’s Word, not by how proficiently you do it.
6. “Which of you, if his son ask for bread, will give a stone? Or if he ask for fish, will give him a snake ( Matthew 7:9-10). Bread and fish symbolized good and necessary items. Sometimes Gos know we are praying for “Snakes” and does not give us what we ask for, even though we persist in our prayers. As we learn to know God better as a loving Father, we learn to ask for what is good for us, and then He grants it.
7. Beelzebub was known as lord of flies and prince of demon. The Pharisees accused Yeshua of using Beelzebub power to drive out demons ( Matthew 10:25 ). God is sometime labeled evil. If Yeshua who is perfect was called evil, His followers should expect some accusations directed to them. But who stand firm will be vindicated.
8. Sometime what we are tempted to do isn’t wrong in itself. Turning stones into bread wasn’t necessarily bad. The sin was not in the act but in the reason behind it. Devil was trying to get Yeshua to take a shortcut to solve immediate problem at the expense of his discipline. The fact that something is not wrong in itself doesn’t mean it is good for you at a given tim. Many people sin by attempting to fulfill legitimate desires outside of God’s will or ahead of His timetable. First ask, “Is the Holy Spirit leading me to do this or is it Satan trying to get me off the track. Important things we must realize is that all our strength are God’s gift to us, and we must dedicate those strength to His service.
9. Much good can be said of Jothem, who reign as king of Judah ( 2 Kings 15:34-35 ), but he failed in a most important area : He did’nt destroythe high places , although leaving them clearly violated the first commandment ( Exodus 20:3 - you shall have no other God before me ). Like Jothem, we may live basiccally good lives and yet miss doing what is most important. A lifetime of doing good is not enough if make the crucial mistake of not following God with all our heart. A true follower of God put God first in all areas of our life.
10. “And we know that in all things God works for good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose”. God works in all thing, not just isolated but for our good. evil is prevalent in our fallen world, but god is not working to make us happy, but fulfill His purpose. note also that this promise is not for everybody. It can only be claimed by those who love God and are called according to his purpose. Those who are called are those the Holy Spirit convinces and enables to receive Christ. Such people have a new prospective, a new mind-set on life. They trust in God, not life’s pressures, they look for their security in heaven, not on earth, they learn to accept, not resent, plain and persecution because God is with them.
12. “All of us who lived among them at one time, gratifying the saving of our sinful nature and following it desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.” ( Ephesian 2:3 ).
The fact that all people, without exception commit sin prove that without Christ we have a sinful nature. We are lost in sin and cannot save ourselves. Does this mean only Christian do good? Of course not, many people do good to others. Only relative scale, many are moral, kind and law abiding. Comparing these people to criminals, we would say that they are very good indeed. But on God absolute scale, no one is good enough to earn salvation. Only through being united with Christ’s perfect life can we become good in God’s sight. “Object of wrath” refers to those who are to receive God’s wrath because of their rejection of Christ.
God bless You.
