Follow Christ

Author Abraham Chuah

19 Oct 2008

Then He said to them all(his disciples): If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.  For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.  What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self.  Luke 9:23-25

Followers of Christ is by imitating His life and obeying his commands.  To take up the cross meant identify completeky to with Christ message, even it meant death.  This days it applied to places like India and 2/3 of nations that Christ is alien to them and against their ritual.  Sharing the gospel in such places maybe life treathening.  But the essence of it to bring unbelievers to Christ and be saved.  And the path may not be easy.  So, our heart must be determined by being deny himself and that would mean being selfless.  Like Christ Yeshua comes to serve and not to be served.

Following Christ may not be easy and to certain extend it maybe costly, but in long run it well worth the pain and effort.  Nothing materials can compensate for the loss of eternal life.  Worldly reward of weath, comfort, fame and pleasure is short term gain and it will be perished, but eternal life is forever.

Christ Our Saviour

19 Oct 2008

I come from family that follow taorism and worship multiple gods including our ancestors and with different idols.  My wife is a strong buddhist.  I am kind of a follower or sometime when someone ask me, I would said I am a free thinker - no specific religion in mind.  I was touched and safe 3 years ago.  So, I am like a blank paper or baby(at least in term of christianity) and wanting to learn and be filled with so many things - that what I thought and wanted for myself.  To certain extend it is right.  I have read words in bible and daily devotional messages.  What amazed me is word in bible.  I can read through the same word and in different time, the message open up to me more than I got in the earlier one.  I want to believe that it applied to all christians.

Myself, my wife(Grace) and my son Timothy were lead to Christ and safed a month apart.  My wife is safe through a Women in Christ that open up the Christ the saviour to her.  She was touched by the testimonies and accepted Christ at that very moment.  Being a strong buddhist and touched by God and changed totally, and fully devoted to Christ.  Our God is an amazing God and his love so strong that my wife and myself when throught the baptism a month after safe by christ, and indeed it is our great honor to be accepted by Abba Father as son and daugther.

By declaring God’s goodness has come to fill the whole earth, his goodness will be manifested in the earth, in the nations, in the churches, in our families, in our children, and in our life. 4. We are full of God’s holy fire and zeal.
  5. We are full of God’s anointing and power.
  6. We are full of God’s healing and deliverance, miracles, sign and wonder.
  7. We are full of God’s favor and kindness.
  8. We are full God’s holiness and righteousness.
  9. We are full God’s grace and mercy.

God is good, all the times, and his goodness is infinite, unchangeable and unconditional.

Deliverance

Author Abraham Chuah

14 Dec 2007

I have a dream and would like to share as an encouragement and evidence that in year 2007 is a year that God glory and jubilee. A year where all bondages will be released and all things return to it rightful owner. It is a year that full of “Abba Father” multiple blessing with great harvest and wealth.

In the dream, I was in the midst of struggling as there were two person, one on the left and another one on the right pulling my hands. They are pulling hard and for a moment my body felt like breaking apart. Suddenly I remember a great name, name above all names, Yeshua! When I called up the name Yeshua, devils flee away and what a relief I am. By faith I believe in Yeshua to be my saviour and by faith I call up His name, I am delivered from the bondage.

W hen we have sin and not seeking the forgiveness and be cleansed by the blood of Yeshua, and when we have anger, greed and longing for the worldly things, we are open ourself for demon(s) to enter and influence our thinking. This is where we fall into the trap of demons and letting them to achieve their goals of defeating those believe in Chriat Yeshua. For they will try whatever mean to discourage us and bond us with all sorts of sins.

Bible Study : God’s Goodness

Author Abraham Chuah

30 Nov 2007

God is love and His love endure forever. His love is unconditional, for He love us first, even we are a sinner, He send His son and give Him up to die for our sin. For the blood of Yeshua being shed and purchase all the goodness from heaven for us. His glory is complete in fullness. God is good to us all the time, no matter what condition we ran into, God demonstrated his ability to work all thing for good.

Here are some of the goodness God have given us :

1. She give this to all the Lord who spoke to her. “You are the God who see me,” For she said, “I have now see the one who see me.” (Genesis 16:13)

Some time we too have to wait. When we ask God for something and have to wait, It is a temptation to take matters into our own hands and thus interferes with God’s plan. Thats what happened to Sarai, Abram’s wife did exactly as stated above, she gave Hagar, her maid servant to Abram and thinking that they can make a family through her.

We have watched three person makes serious mistake:
